Acupuncture is an essential part of the treatment going back over 3,000 years. This treatment has no side effects.

At the core of this medicine a type of life force or energy, known as “chi”, flows through the body through energy pathways called meridians.  These meridians correspond to each organ or group of organs.  The steady flow of energy from one organ to the next, in series, is dependent on the energy from the preceding organ.  If the flow is weak the energy transmitted to the succeeding organ is weakened. This can be corrected by stimulating the meridian at fault with acupuncture needles, at fixed points, so that the harmonious flow of energy can be restored.

The stress of modern life is an environmental condition, reflected by the nervous system and is a prime cause of illness such as high blood pressure, gastric ulcers, rheumatic pains etc. afflicting so many people today.  When a person is emotionally imbalanced the body’s structure and its function will eventually be affected, which then manifests in different body symptoms.

HIPPOCRATES (500 BC) better known as the “Father of Medicine” is credited with being the first person to believe that diseases were caused naturally.  He separated the discipline of medicine from religion, believing and arguing that disease is not a punishment inflicted by the gods, but rather the product of EMOTIONAL and ENVIRONMENTAL factors, Diet and Living habits.

“The body contains within itself the power to re-balance and heal itself NATURALLY”.

“All illnesses are cured by some means of elimination”.

The Needle therapy treats all medical conditions naturally, preventing illness, promoting health and well being, alongside specific exercises to further help the body to repair itself (needles are not used on children).

As this is a natural treatment promoting the body to repair itself, each person reacts differently.  Some people notice an immediate response while others may take longer depending on how long they have the condition.

Generally speaking, more recent conditions are more quickly eliminated than acute or chronic conditions, which have been present for a number of years.  In general, after the first treatment a person will experience an improvement for 3 to 4 days and even longer.  Sometimes a person will initially feel a worsening of the condition as the body is trying to expel the toxin, be it emotional or physical etc.  This is not unusual and is no cause for alarm.  Subsequent treatments tend to give relief over a longer period of time.

It is generally recommended to do a course of 12 sessions after the initial consultation.  The course should be compared to a course of antibiotics, except that there are no drugs or any other hidden extras.  A client is advised to go back to their GP after 5 or 6 sessions to make sure that any prescription for medication is not renewed without a full check-up, as in most cases the medication is not needed or a reduction is required.

This treatment is not allowed during pregnancy.

Children up to 15 years are free of charge but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
